By designing room for seating in this centre island, the family now has both a great prep area and a place to eat dinner, do homework and do other countless activities. Complete with a mini fridge, this bar has endless uses and functionalities.
We were able to open up the space next to the sink by adding in some custom floating shelving instead of upper cabinetry. This creates a more open space in one of the busiest areas of the kitchen.

Because this kitchen is narrower than usual, we wanted to create continuity throughout the design so we opted to create custom panels for the fridge and freezer. This adds a high-end touch to a relatively clean and simple design.
This whole kitchen has been outfitted with modern chrome ladder style handles on the upper cabinetry, and a unique chrome handle on the lower cabinetry. We were also able to add the same handles to the appliances for consistency in the look and feel.
Looking closely, we opted for a horizontal wood grain on the island cabinetry to create an earthy and natural contrast to the cool, modern perimeter cabinets.
Using the same wood that we used on the kitchen island, we created a simple and modern entertainment area to bring the style of the kitchen into the new living space.
This floating powder room vanity features a vertical wood grain that compliments the wood used on the kitchen island. In addition, a piece of that same wood is used as a stylized frame to the mirror to create consistency throughout the bathroom.
The master ensuite got a his&hers vanity in the same finish as the perimeter cabinetry in the kitchen. This vanity features a hidden drawer to hide the plumbing, but still offers ample storage for both him and her.
Two cabinets and two floating shelves were used to turn this empty space into the perfect wet bar in the recreation room. Featuring integrated shelving lighting and a mini fridge, this couple will be able to host friends and family for multiple parties and holidays to come.
