Limited Lifetime Warranty
Kitchen Art Design (“KAD”) backs our quality workmanship and materials with a limited lifetime warranty. As long as the original purchaser owns the home in which our products are installed, and those products remain in their original installation location, KAD guarantees that our products will be free from defects in material and workmanship, under normal usage. This warranty is not transferable to subsequent owners and is only effective within Canada.
An original KAD purchase receipt is required for proof of purchase.
This warranty covers the following.
This warranty covers only products manufactured by KAD as well as installation work that KAD directly provides. Installation that is carried-out by any other party is not covered under this warranty. KAD products include the following – cabinet boxes and frames, door and drawer fronts, Blum brand cabinet hardware such as hinges and pulls, millwork trims, legs, and toe kicks.
KAD’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to the repair or replacement of any parts or components which are deemed by us to be defective under normal home use and service. This is subject to KAD having been provided a reasonable opportunity to inspect and repair/or replace the defective products or workmanship. KAD shall not be responsible for any indirect, consequential or any other form
of damage or loss which is not expressly and specifically covered by this warranty.
If installation of the goods shall be part of this agreement, the Company shall not be responsible for any rotted or defective materials used in the premises, or faulty or improper construction of the premises, or any damage to wiring or plumbing encountered, through negligence of other trades, or contractors, or builders, nor will the Company be responsible for any damage cause to hidden wiring or plumbing the location of which was not notified to the Company or its representatives prior to commencement of installations.
This warranty does not cover the following.
This warranty excludes all products supplied by other parties, such as countertops, appliances, lighting, flooring, wall tile, plumbing fixtures etc.
This warranty does not apply to the natural aging and possible colour change of materials such as the effect of natural and artificial light to woods and finishes, variation in the wood grain or color, and fading or visible cracking around joint areas. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents.
In the event that KAD undergoes warranty related replacement parts or repair work on KAD’s products, this warranty does not cover any necessary or associated costs related to removing, installing or replacing products that are not supplied by KAD (as listed above)
This warranty shall not apply to the effects of normal wear and tear or any products or parts which have been subject to accident, alteration, acts of God, abuse, misuse, improper installation, improper storage, excessive exposure to direct sunlight, exposure to moisture or exposure to extreme temperatures. cleaned with the wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, we make no warranty whatsoever with respect to accessories or parts not supplied or manufactured by us.
